To further its goal of fostering leadership in genocide prevention through education, the Auschwitz Institute has formed a partnership with the Center for the Study of Genocide, Conflict Resolution, and Human Rights at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey.
The first initiative to emerge from this partnership is the creation of an undergraduate course in genocide prevention, taught by Professor Alex Hinton as an upper-level anthropology class. The Auschwitz Institute’s long-term goal is for genocide prevention to be taught as part of the required curriculum at every college and university in the United States.
