The Board of Directors of the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities (AIPG) invite you to an evening of Storytelling & Remembrance in honor of AIPG co-founder Allyne Schwartz. This gathering will be hosted by AIPG’s President of the Board of Directors, Owen Pell, on Tuesday, November 14th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm EST at his home in Manhattan. Refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Please RSVP here no later than Tuesday, November 7th; the address of the Pell residence will be provided to those who have RSVP'd a few days prior to the event. For any questions, please email samantha.capicotto@auschwitzinstitute.org.
The evening will be a time to share with our friends and colleagues the story of the founding of AIPG by Fred and Allyne Schwartz, and their dream of educating government officials – the people with the power to prevent mass atrocities – on the policies and processes to make ‘never again’ a reality. This dream came to fruition through the Global Raphael Lemkin Seminar for Genocide Prevention, still the flagship educational program of the Auschwitz Institute. As we memorialize Allyne’s recent passing, the Board of Directors and Staff cannot think of a better way to honor her legacy than through the establishment of the Allyne Schwartz Raphael Lemkin Seminar Support Fund to ensure the sustainability of this program that was so close to her heart.
We would be honored to have you join us for the evening’s festivities in support of this Fund and Allyne’s enduring legacy through the work of AIPG. If you are unable to attend, but would like to make a gift to the Allyne Schwartz Raphael Lemkin Seminar Support Fund, please email liz.marvin@auschwitzinstitute.org.
