Annie R. Bird is an expert in global peace and security, atrocities prevention, and human rights, with over 20 years of experience across government, philanthropy, academia, international organizations, and civil society. She now leads Red Thread Lab, where she offers strategic advising and executive coaching for leaders in the field. Previously, she led atrocity prevention efforts at the U.S. State Department and Wellspring Philanthropic Fund. She has taught at Princeton University, the London School of Economics, UC Berkeley, and Binghamton University, and is the author of U.S. Foreign Policy on Transitional Justice (2015), along with other publications. She holds a PhD from the London School of Economics.
